The large locomotive for passenger trains
Since the opening of the Gletsch - Oberwald line, DFB has been able to hire an HGm 4/4 locomotive from the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway during the operating season. The locomotive is stationed in Oberwald for this purpose. During DFB operations, the locomotive is operated by diesel crew personnel. The drivers have been trained by MGB instructors. The DFB carries out minor maintenance in Realp, while the locomotive is transferred to Andermatt for major maintenance.
