The 36-metre-long and 18-metre-high Steffenbach Bridge between the Realp and Tiefenbach stations is the most spectacular structure on the Furka Mountain Steam Railway. Because several avalanches thunder down there in winter, the three-part structure is retracted in autumn and extended again in spring.
