Model kit Gletsch railway station 1:45
Description
Gletsch railway station is located at 1,762 metres above sea level in the Swiss canton of Valais. Until 1981, trains operated here on what was then the Furka-Oberalp Railway. Today, the association-based railway company ‘Dampfbahn Furka-Bergstrecke’ operates a seasonal service from Realp to Oberwald in the summer. The station building is constructed of quarry stone and has a small extension with a flat roof.
The model kit is made of a combination of MDF, plywood and high-quality architectural cardboard. The appearance of the masonry and many other components are intricately laser engraved. The scope of delivery also includes gutters, downpipes, a wall fountain (3D printed) and real gravel for the flat roof.
